. It all started with Eve.If she hadn’t tempted Adam with an apple ..( an apple of all things !)… She was the first person to Tempt and as usual,as history is proven it unfailingly man yielded to the temptation.It still goes on and the reason why I am writing this post & also why you are reading is because of the fact that our dad’s yielded to that sinful temptation once.Talking about apples… they say Issac Newton discovered some thing called gravitational force bcoz an apple fell on his head or somewhere close to it… What a coincidence….
Like I mentioned in ‘The Beginning’ .. one of the advantages about staying in the middle of the desert alongside Oil Wells, slowly listening to a sandstorm brewing up in the distance alongwith the unwarranted braying of camels , feeding on their milk and pure dates is that you tend to drift , to float into serenity . My mind wanders, on unnecessary thoughts.. unnecessary questions with absurd answers.. Questioning the very existence of ourselves . I am listening to ‘Solitary Dusk’ a tune that claims to relax the turbulence in your mind..So far.. It’s just doing the opposite.I just visited CNN,BBC & FOX NEWS.COM. I aint a fan of either, but i believe with all due respect to Sir Rupert Murdoch that the Media , controls the way humans think or the way we think.As far as i go back i r’br everyone likes to have their cup of coffee , their silence while devouring what the newspaper has to offer them early in the morning . It changes the way we act, we think and our reaction to the unfortunate certanities in this world, is based on the warning that the frontal lobe of our brain reminds us of. For example, If we find out that a kid was runover by a truck while playing on the street in some other state , in some other time zone … we will obviously think twice when our kids go out to play .. It doesn’t matter to us if children in Bolivia are dying of hunger or if a bull tramples a 6yr old to death in Mexico or even if Jihad is proclaimed again America again.We revolve and feed ourselves with information pertaining to us. What catches our eye on the weekly magazine is the cleavage of the latest News Anchor or the photo-shopped abs of a model & gossip surrounding them.. That I feel is how the media controls us. . In a way we cant imagine . They feed us with a little info and leave us craving for more the next day…I am not a journalist nor do i have anything against them. I don’t like reading about fluffy dogs or which part of Paris Hilton’s leg she forgot to wax & I know that there are many who enjoy doing so based on their age, upbringing and the society that they were bred in. I am sitting in one of the Richest countries in the world , working for one among the richest firms in the top ten around the world.. This country is not rich because of its heritage, not its history or its people. Its rich .. filthy rich .. the people are illiterate .. arrogance is their mother tongue .. self minded.. religiously blinded …but overshadowing all that, they earn respect from all other countries because of the fact that their soil holds Oil that can feed the entire world for the next 60 years.So they say. … The truth ……….I am stuck … I lost track of this blog. Was it the murmur of an unfamiliar language that tickled my ears that is developing a fear within me ? I dont know… All of us live in fear.. Fear of acceptance.. fear of failure.. fear of ‘what if’.. fear of loss… Fear. Hitler was telling the truth when he said, ‘Fear None but yourself’ & that is exactly why he let that ‘fear of accepting defeat’ devour him.
Its getting late. Thats an excuse that i am using to convince myself to stop this post and continue at an appropriate time. An appropriate time when there is no murmuring from another tent , no crying of camels, no sandstorm in the distance..
